About

Arrived: Mar 11, 2026

Note: Umbilical hernia

Gender: Male

Age: 5 months

Weight: 5 lbs

Breed: Shih Tzu

Color: Reddish/brown

As a puppy, I need adopters who are:

  • Home frequently

  • Ready to potty/house train

  • Ready for obedience training

Wookie is a 4.5 month old Shih Tzu with a darling reddish-brown coat. He's completed all three rounds of puppy shots and he's received his rabies vaccine.

Wookie is already working on house and potty training. After he completed his last round of puppy shots, he began practicing going potty in the yard with his foster dog siblings. He's learning how to properly play with the help of his foster siblings, all small breed dogs. He adores the resident cat, they play together and he let's his cat friend grooms him.

As a reminder, all puppies adopted from Fawn's require:

  • A Spay/Neuter Addendum plus their adoption contract

  • A refundable $100 spay/neuter deposit

Like many Shih Tzu puppies, Wookie was born with an umbilical hernia. It's common practice to repair the hernia during a puppy's spay/neuter surgery around 6 months of age. Post adoption, our vet friends at VCA All Animal Hospital of Orange Park are ready to work with your schedule to take care of Wookie's hernia repair during his neuter. They've cared for him since he arrived at Fawn's and have his complete veterinary history. Fawn's covers cost of the neuter and the hernia repair if it's completed by VCA Orange Park.

As a puppy, Wookie is considered dog, cat, and kid friendly. Like any puppy, his adopters must be prepared to continue house, potty, and basic obedience training. Fenced yard preferred but not required.
