Storm is likely a Chihuahua/Terrier mix, he's around 4 years old and about 12 lbs. He's neutered, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on vaccines and monthly preventatives. He's a charming brown and white fellow with heterochromia, which means his eyes are different colors, one blue eye and one brown eye.
Storm is an energetic and vocal boy who loves attention, naps, and destroying toys. Once you get to know each other, he becomes a playful, sweet boy who's ready to occupy your lap at a moments notice. He's initially wary of newcomers but he loves getting pets and attention. He's not a fan of very young children and would do best in a home with respectful, dog-savvy teens.
Storm likes dog friends of all sizes and loves to play with larger playmates. He's happy to share toys and likes to play. He likes to play fetch with stuffed animals. He loves quality time, especially if he has to share his humans with doggie siblings. He can be a jelly-belly when it comes to doggie siblings, his foster family is also fostering a medical dog with high needs. Storm has acted out a bit since the medical foster arrived, he's mad that his new friend isn't interested in playing with him. He'd do best in a home with a dog friend with similar energy and play needs.
Storm is fine sharing his home with cat friends. He has 3 cat foster siblings, of various temperaments. He enjoys playing with the teenage cat and snuggling with the oldest cat. He even let's the oldest cat groom him.
Storm is doing well with house and potty training. His urge to mark indoors is reducing but it's a work in progress and patience. After one of the outdoor cats showed him how to slip under the fence, his foster began taking him to the yard on a long leash just in case. He's a curious boy who must be supervised outside as he enjoys chasing small animals, like geese, ducks, squirrels, and lizards. He'll happily run off on an adventure and enjoy a chase if given the opportunity. As he's still working on potty and leash training, Storm requires supervision outside for his safety and a securely fenced yard is highly recommended.
Spunky Storm is ready for a fur-ever family to call his own. He needs adopters who are patient and understanding. He can go to home with respectful, dog savvy teens. He'd be fine as an only child if his humans are home often, if you're out a lot then he'll need a playful dog friend. His new home must have adopters who understand his curiosity and zest for life and the chase. While his potty and leash training continues to improve, he'd do best in a home with a securely fenced yard due to his adventuring spirit.
