Sheba is a tricolored Chihuahua mix. She's 9 years old and about 14 lbs. She's spayed, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on vaccines and monthly prevention. Sheba and brother Tater Tot are bonded and must be adopted together.

Sheba and Tater Tot are adjusting to a whole new life away from everything they've ever known. They're new to city living and still adjusting to unexpected noises and movement from cars, scooters, and bikes. They're also prone to barking at the dogs and people who pass them while they're out walking.

Speaking of walking, they LOVE going on walks and exploring the yard. They're happy to go potty while out walking but can be distracted by other dogs and people. As they're adjusting to a whole new life, they'd do best in a home with a securely fenced yard. They're happy to potty out on walks or in the yard, they must be supervised as they're flight risks, yes even in a fenced yard. These intrepid explorers will make their way out of a yard to continue their adventure.

Before they went to their foster, Sheba and Tater Tot stayed the weekend with a temporary foster. That temporary foster had cats and Byron, another Fawn's foster. They were cat curious and even tried to play with them, they wisely took the hint when the cats ignored them. They could likely be placed in a home with dog-savvy cats. They also quickly realized that Byron wasn't interested in playing with them and gave him space.

Sheba is a bubbly girl and an absolute ham! She loves her brother, walks, and car rides. She's SO EXCITED to put on her collar, harness, and leash! She needs some leash training, she calms down with a bit of guidance from you and her brother. Once she's calmer, this cutie syncs her walk with Tater Tot and they'll trot along together. Sassy Sheba isn't as skittish at Tater and she'll happily bark at those who pass or startling noises. As they get more comfortable in their new life, we hope to see better regulation while out and about. Silly Sheba is still adjusting to car noises while out, but she wanted us to remind you that she and Tater Tot LOVE car rides! Being in the car is different from random car noises.

Sheba and Tater Tot are typical siblings, they play, they fight, and they hangout. When it comes to food, they must be fed separately as they'll growl and fuss at each other. This may change over time as they're reminded that food isn't a limited commodity and there's plenty to go around. This heart melting duo is ready for their fur-ever home, with plenty of food and love to go around.

They did fine coexisting with a smaller dog and cats in their temp foster home. They gave Byron and the cats space once they realized neither wanted to play with them. They haven't met any kids, it's likely they'd be okay with respectful teens who understand that they'll need space and time to adjust.
