Kayla's ideal home:

  • Fenced yard recommended

  • Dog friendly (big/small)

  • Adults, gentle older kids

Kayla is Lhasa Apso with a charming white coat. She's 10 years young and weighs 12 lbs. She's spayed, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on vaccines and monthly preventatives. This sweet girl is looking for a soft place to land and someone to love her forever.

Kayla's favorite things include:

  • Snuggling, cozy beds, and blankets

  • Gentle voices and reassurance

  • Following her humans everywhere

  • Existing as the world’s fanciest baby

Kayla is mostly blind, but don’t tell her that! She's a smart girl who learns her environment and once she's familiar, she's able to safely get around her home. She adores her people and doggie siblings and takes comfort from being close them. She’s an affectionate companion who wants nothing more than to curl up beside you and follow you from room to room.

Due to her limited vision, Kayla tends to stay underfoot. She'll require daily eye drops for the rest of her life to keep her healthy. She needs a home that is mindful of her size and limitation. She may not be the best fit for someone unsteady on their feet, but she would thrive with someone patient, loving, and home often.

Kayla is doing wonderfully with house and potty training. She's great at following her foster siblings and learned their routine quickly. She’s smart, eager to please, and making great progress every day. Her new home must have a yard, she doesn't go far but a fenced yard is preferred for her safety. Regardless of fencing, she must be supervised in the yard.

When it comes to other dogs, Kayla does well with big or small friends so long as they're gentle and respectful. She enjoys having canine companions and they help her acclimate to her environment more quickly. If you're home most of the day, Kayla could be a solo dog. If you're out of the house on a regular basis, she'd do best with doggie siblings to keep her company.

Kayla is the definition of sweet and mild-tempered, she's a quiet little soul who wants to feel safe and loved. She'd do best with humans who are home often and understand vision limitations. She'd enjoy gentle doggie siblings, especially if you're out of the house often. She needs a yard and a fenced yard is recommended as she's unfamiliar with harnesses and leashes. She's ready to be your devoted, tenderhearted companion.
