Cookie is a Lemon Beagle with a charming white and red coat. She's about 6 years old and around 23 lbs. She's spayed and up-to-date on vaccines and monthly preventatives.
Cookie was found covered in ticks and fleas, she's heartworm positive and undergoing treatment. All medication is provided to her adopter to continue her treatment. When she first found we thought she might be closer to 3-4, now that she's healthier our vet estimates that she's around 6 years old. Ultimately her history is a mystery, it's clear she was bred. Now she's living the good life and loving it!
Cookie is as as sweet as her name suggests. She's well behaved and adores her people. Her foster describers her as easy going and affectionate. At night she's happy to curl up in her cozy crate or stretch on her favorite dog bed.
Cookie is doing great with house and potty training. She does best with a regular routine to help her settle in to a home. While she's not a flight risk a fenced yard will help her continue her potty training success. She loves to lounge in the yard and sunbathe. When she's not sunshine snoozing, she likes to explore and chase lizards.
Cookie is great with other dogs and she's rated for kids ages 7+. So far she hasn't met any cats. She's doing excellent with leash training. The better she feels, the more curiosity she shows about the world and the happier she is. While she's not a barker, she does get excited and vocal when you get home. It's the sweetest greeting you'll get after being away.
Cookie is a good little girl who's ready for her fur-ever family! She'd be happy to have doggie siblings or be a solo dog if you're around more often. She's good with kids, ages 7+, cats unknown. She needs a fenced yard to continue her potty training success. She's a sunbathing queen and sunshine snoozing enthusiast! As Cookie is heartworm positive, her adopters will receive the heartworm medication she needs to complete her treatment as a part of her adoption.
