Byron is a Yorkshire Terrier with a handsome brown and gray coat. He's estimated to be about 12 years and weighs around 5 lbs. He's neutered, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on vaccines and monthly prevention.
Why yes, you do recognize this handsome gentleman. He was found in May, checked for a microchop (no chip was found), shared extensively on social media, and has completed his home stray hold. He was found covered dozens of ticks with limited use of his back legs, likely caused by toxic shock. With the help our amazing vets, his awesome medical foster, Byron is thriving, walking - when he choses, and ready for adoption!
Byron, aka Lord Byron, is a gentleman with an inquisitive, curious nature. His observation skills are unmatched and he's delighted to oversee the world around him from the vantage point of the couch, your arms, or even at your feet. He's content to join you in the car so he can properly supervise errands and other out of the house activities.
Byron the ambivalent equally ignores dogs and cats, he's tolerant and seems to neither like nor dislike them. As he's 5 lbs and a short king, with an occasional back leg wobble, he'd do best with other respectful small dogs or as an only child. If his new home does have cats, you must put up the cat food. Byron and his 2 teeth will attempt a cat food heist if given the opportunity.
Byron, like many Yorkies, tends to pick a primary person in the home. He adore his preferred human and treat everyone else as secondary, unless his person is away. Given his size, cuteness, particularity to a preferred person - he's best suited for an adults-only home. When he's with his favorite human, he's fine with visitors of all sizes, as long as they're respectful and give him space to adjust.
Gentleman Byron is an indoor enthusiast. He's here to grace you with his presence, enjoy his meals, and take deliciously cozy naps. He's accustomed house, potty, and leash training; he knows to go potty in the yard or while out on short walks. He's not particularly interested in the local flora and fauna. He's a man of action, he does his business and is ready to return to his rightful place inside the house.
Capable canine and charming travel companion seeks new accommodations! Byron's ideal home is staffed with one or more doting adults. He's ambivalent to dogs and cats, he's best suited as an only child or in a home with similarly sized respectful dogs. He knows to go potty outside, since he'll do his business on a leash he doesn't require a fenced yard in his new home.
