About

Gender: Female, fixed

Age: 8-10 years

Weight: 8.5 lbs

Breed: Yorkshire Terrier

Color: Brown and black

My ideal home:

  • Adult only home

  • Can have visiting grandkids

Addy is a brown and black Yorkshire Terrier, she's around 8.5 lbs and is 8-10 years old. She's spayed, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on vaccines and monthly preventatives.

Previously used for breeding, Addy was likely abandoned when she lost her vision—but she hasn’t let blindness slow her down. She carefully navigates her home, bonds deeply with her person, and loves nothing more than cuddling in your lap. She's a quiet, loyal companion—perfect for someone home often and looking for a gentle friend.

Addy takes daily eye drops to keep her comfortable. In the future, if her eyes become painful or infected, removal may be necessary. We will help cover the cost of her eye removal surgery at one of our vets, if it becomes medically necessary.

Addy a great work from home buddy and curls up on her foster mom's lap while she works. She enjoys slow walks, rolling in the grass, and cozy pet purses. She's an excellent shopping buddy!

Addy is a bit of a princess when it comes to food—she’s a picky eater, this is not uncommon according to other Yorkie enthusiasts. Her foster believes she’s just waiting for someone who knows how to spoil her properly. And this sweet girl deserves all of the spoiling.

Addy is doing good with house and potty training. She'll go outside to the yard or on a walk to do her business, her foster family is also working on indoor potty pad training.

Addy would prefer to be in an adult only home. She prefers other calm dogs as companions. She isn't interested in playing, especially ruff-housing.. Addy does well with older respectful children. She'd do best in a kid-free home as she is startled by sudden noises and quick movement.

Addy's fur-ever home needs patient, loving people. Ideally ones who are experienced with medical conditions and have no issues helping Addy with her eye drops. She'd do best with adults who are home more often than not to help continue her house and potty training success.
