August's featured Foster: Mr Darcy

You might recognize Mr Darcy from social media. He was found wandering around in a sad state. His back was raw and scratched open. It turns out this handsome fellow has terrible allergies and a heart murmur.

With the help of our vets and an allergy test, we know his allergies and can help him manage them. Unfortunately, his heart murmur limits some of the traditional options for his allergy care.

Mr Darcy allergies include several dog food ingredients and preservatives. Thankfully, Fawn's Small Dog Rescue is a part of the

Pet Wants Jax Beach Feeding Program, we worked together to find the foods that meet his needs.

Though he's not quite ready for adoption, Mr Darcy is thriving on his fresh, healthy, and allergy friendly diet! His foster reports that he loves licking his bowl clean, his itching is reduced, and his back and fur are healing.

When Mr Darcy is officially ready for adoption, Pet Wants Jax Beach has a discount for food and treats for his new family. They even offer free local delivery so his adopters can easily continue feeding him a diet that reduces his itching and keeps him happy and healthy.
