Kid and cat friendly
Afraid of large dogs
No yard required!
Winnie the dog, she's so short and fluffy, with the sweetest heart! This girl is cuddly like a certain stuffed bear. She loves having small dog friends to follow around along with stuffed toys to play with. If she gets startled she will bark, which can be loud, however, she listens and quiets down quickly. Especially if her doggie friends quiet down as well.
This cute girl is doing great with house and potty training. She will use potty pads or follow the other dogs to do her business in the yard. Her foster noticed that she seems to prefer to do her #2s on the potty pads instead of doing them outside. Winnie would enjoy a yard in her new home, however, it is not a requirement and she must be supervised while in a yard. She enjoys digging and like most terriers is quite curious.
Winnie has been crate trained, she will fuss at first and then settle. Like many other dogs, she is afraid of thunder and fireworks. The crate is a safe place, she definitely prefers to snuggle on your lap. When it comes to bed time, her dream is to sleep in the big bed and cuddle under the blankets with you.
Winnie loves having small dog friends to follow around and she adores playing with stuffed toys. She has done great dogs who are under 25 lbs, she is afraid of larger dogs. She has met the neighborhood cats and was largely uninterested in them.
Winnie adores children and does very well with them. Some times she gets excited and needs to be reminded not to jump, she is a great listener and quickly stops. She has met children as young as 2 years old, she was inquisitive and incredibly gentle during her greeting.
Winnie is quite social, if her adopters work outside of the home she would do best in a family where she has one or more similarly sized doggie siblings. For adopters who are home most of the day, she could be an only dog. She is kid friendly and has so far ignored cats. She does well on a leash and has great recall. She is doing great with potty training and does not require a yard in her future home.
