About Vona:

  • Kid friendly

  • Dog sibling preferred

  • Fenced yard optional

Senior sweetheart Vona is a spritely lady and loving, cuddly companion. She enjoys squeaky toys and selects a few to play fetch with every morning. When she's done fetching, she happily escorts her toys to take a sunny nap on the porch.

Vona is doing great with house, potty, and leash training. She'll go potty outside in the yard, on a leash, or if needed she'll use a potty pad in the house. She enjoys going on walks and her foster says that she's friendly and non-reactive to other dogs while walking. She loves going on solo walks with her fosters, she likes to exercise and treasures one-on-one time.

Vona was surrendered to us when her owner could no longer care for her. She was crated frequently and they now give her anxiety. She had several siblings and enjoys the company of other dogs. She adores her foster sister and they enjoy cuddling together. They happily share the big bed and love sleeping with their humans. She doesn't enjoy being alone, especially if her humans are out, and would do best in a home with another dog with similar energy levels.

Vona is ready to be treasured in her fur-ever home. She'd enjoy having doggie siblings, especially if you're out of the house often. If her adopter is home frequently, her foster feels that she could be successful as a solo dog. She's rated for homes with respectful younger children. She hasn't met any cats, with her temperament we suspect she'd do fine with a feline friend. She doesn't require a yard in her new home, since she's happy to go potty on a leash and loves walks. She would adore a home with a sunny porch where she can bask with her squeaky toys and people.
