Oscar puts the Terrier in Yorkshire Terrier. This good boy leads with curiosity and isn't afraid to fun full speed to what he wants, especially if its a squirrel or bird. He falls more into the working breed part of the terrier, he enjoys patroling the yard and when inside he happily perches on the back of the couch so he can watch the outside world. He's also rarely in a rush, for example, he'll happily track something through the yard instead of immediately going potty.
Speaking of house, potty, and leash training, Oscar is doing very well! He prefers to go potty in the yard and is perfecting the skill of going potty on walks. Oscar love of tracking and chasing makes him a flight risk and his future home will need a securely fenced yard. He is also capable of jumping and climbing. His vertical jump is very impressive.
For this reason, Oscar has been perfecting his crate training skills. He's great in the crate overnight, he'll huffily go into it for a snack when his foster must go on errands. If he is not crated, he'll give himself the run of the house and is likely to capture and shred tissues and other paper products.
Oscar was kid tested with younger children and their sudden movements and noise level made him uncomfortable. He did exactly what we'd want, he took his space and observed. Oscar has met outside cats and been curious, he did not chase them which is good. His foster feels that a Oscar might be okay living with a dog-confident larger cat. As he does have a prey drive for squirrels and birds, skittish small cats who are likely to run would not be a good fit.
