Dogs like Matt we refer to as "diamonds in the ruff" - he's well socialized with a loving and playful temperament. He especially likes humans, including kids, and doggie friends. He's good natured which makes him a good candidate as a family dog. Given his size, he'll need respectful human siblings who are dog-savvy and old enough to understand that he's a friend and not a toy.
Matt is doing great with house, potty, and leash training. He'll happily go outside to go potty in the yard with his foster siblings or do his business on a leash. This means his fur-ever home doesn't require a yard, though he certainly enjoys playing with his doggies friends while outside.
Like many playful dogs, Matt isn't afraid to get a bit dirty. His particular breed mixes require regular grooming, generally every 6-8 weeks. His adopters must be ready for this expense or have the grooming skills to properly maintain Matt themselves.
Matt is ready for his new life with his fur-ever family. He needs adopters who're prepared for his grooming needs. His ideal home has at least one similarly sized doggie siblings, the more the better. He'd be happy to share his home with dog-savvy kids and cats. Since he's happy to do his business on a leash, he doesn't require a fenced yard.
