About Nunzio:

  • Dog/cat friendly

  • Adults/dog-savvy kids

  • Fenced yard (optional)

Nunzio is a white Maltese and a cute fluffy boy. He's 1-2 years and 11.5 lbs. He's neutered, heartworm negative, and up-to-date on vaccines and monthly preventatives.

Nunzio is a delightful, young gentleman. He's a friendly boy who enjoys humans, adores doggie friends, and is on a mission to befriend the resident kitty - who's not impressed with his polite efforts. He has a lovely temperament and his foster believes he'd do well with respectful, dog-savvy children.

Nunzio is doing great with house, potty, and leash training. He's currently fostered in a home without a fenced yard, he goes out to do his business on a leash several times a day. Like most young dogs, he does best with a regular routine. Since he's trained to go potty on a leash a fenced yard isn't required for his fur-ever home, though he'd likely enjoy having one.

Nunzio is doing great with car rides. He's practicing socializing around the town and at the marina. He's working on getting comfortable hanging out in a doggie bag/carrier so he can go to restaurants, join his foster at work, as well as other dog friendly places. Boat lovers rejoice, Nunzio is getting his sea legs, he enjoys the wind in his hair and salty breeze sniffs.

Nunzio is more people motivated than food or toy motivated, he's not even interested in people food. He absolutely LOVES doggie treats. This clever boy ignores his food bowl in hopes of guilting you into giving him snacks. If he waits, something better must come along, right?! He's not particularly interested in toys or chewing on things. He does enjoy purloining things, like socks, and bringing them to his bed for decoration and comfort.

Nunzio is currently a solo dog, he's fostered with a cat who he's determined to befriend. He previously lived with at least 2 other dogs. He's always delighted to meet other dogs while he's out walking, whether they have a chance to play together or not. He enjoys the attention of humans and dogs alike.

Sweetheart Nunzio is ready for his fur-ever home, given his temperament he'd do well as a family dog with respectful, dog-savvy kids. While he's a pretty calm boy, he's still essentially a puppy and does best with a regular routine. This good boy goes potty on a leash, he'd enjoy a yard in his new home but it's not required. He'd love doggie siblings. If he's adopted as a solo dog, he'd thrive with regular canine socialization and doggie playdates. He can go to a home with dog-savvy cats.
