Adopting a dog affects everyone in your household, before you apply make sure everyone is excited and ready to care for a new family member.

Important: Due to the length of the adoption application, we recommend filling it out on a computer instead of a mobile device.

About

Gender: Male, fixed
Age: 3 years
Weight: 12.5 lbs
Breed: Yorkie | Shih Tzu mix (est)
Color: White, cream (est)

Kenzo is 3 years old, 12.5 lbs, and likely a Shih Tzu/Yorkie mix. He is neutered, heartworm

negative, and up-to-date on vaccines and his monthly preventatives.

Kenzo is a friendly dog, he is reserved when he first meets people but opens up quickly. He adapted to his foster environment right away. He enjoys other dogs and likes to play. He also enjoys time by himself and with his people. He is an independent boy who likes sitting on a lap before bed. He is not a big cuddler outside of his lap time.

Kenzo is doing well with house training. He prefers to go outside to do his business, his foster also has potty pads available but he is uninterested. He has had an occasional overnight accident. His foster has him wear a belly band at night, which he does well with. We believe a consistent schedule will continue his house training progress in his new home.

Kenzo was found as a stray with his skin in sad condition due to a flea allergy. His fur has been growing back with the help of a medical treatment and a vet recommended fish oil supplement. He has completed his treatment and now only needs the supplement.

Kenzo's new home needs one or more understanding people who are committed to continuing house training progress. With his friendly personality, Kenzo could be a solo dog or happily have similarly sized doggie siblings. He has not been cat or kid tested.
